Peter Corning (Intellectual Patron)

Dr. Peter Corning is an American systems scientist who is the Founding Director of the Institute for the Study of Complex Systems. He was Professor in the Interdisciplinary Human Biology Program at Stanford University, the President of the International Society for the Systems Sciences and is the author of over 150 scientific articles and books, most recently “The Fair Society: The Science of Human Nature and the Pursuit of Social Justice” (University of Chicago Press 2011). He was a United States Naval Aviator, a Science Writer for Newsweek, and completed his PhD in Interdisciplinary Social Science-Life Science at New York University and was a National Institute of Mental Health Postdoctoral Fellow in Behavioural Genetics at the University of Colorado.
